WAparty is a weekend of wildly eclectic contemporary art music for the curious music lover.

At our inaugural WAparty we confront our human propensity for excess by celebrating its byproduct – WASTE. Over a weekend of music, we recognise our destructive insatiability and are haunted by the perils of overabundance. We admit to the commodification, and gradual disintegration of self in contemporary existence. In the shadow of futile conflict and the poison of social division, we acknowledge needless loss, and celebrate the tenacity of the human spirit in resistance.

Across four whiplash-inducing performances, there will be everything from gently evolving soundscapes to experimental noise; minimalist scores to maximal sonic assaults; wistful soliloquies to Fluxus classics; bizarre game-pieces to cross-disciplinary explorations, as well as several world premieres of new works by local composers.
